Build a Lifestyle, Not Diets.

We often hear "Hey Prerak! You have lost weight, are you on a vegan diet, Blah Blah..". It's because people only know enough. At FOK, we strongly believe one should never look at food as a short term orientation to achieve a task unless you are doing it professionally. For example - a bodybuilder may go on a crash diet(<1000 KCal/Day) before he goes for a show. We believe a healthy life is about having a sustained lifestyle.

DIET VS LIFESTYLE

A 'Diet' is often restrictive as well as temporary. If you are on a diet today, it doesn't mean you have to be continuous with it. You might follow your diet plan for a few days, see some results, but after a couple of weeks pass by, you will probably start missing that Double Cheese Burst Pizza and then probably start hating this newfound diet. A statistical figure shows 2/3rd people on diet, end up gaining even more within 4 to 5 years. At FOK, we believe it is not about eating less, it's about making smart choices that will build a lifestyle.

Building a lifestyle around food means you enjoy it and have your reasons in place.

Why you are doing it is something you may or may not have figured already but we always recommend you have a reason for doing something. Not following something because "it's a trend", but because you believe in something. Believe that you are voicing for the voiceless. Believe that you are doing yourself a favor. Believe you are contributing to the world by going Vegan. Believe that because of you a calf has not been separated from its mother. We can keep on going on about what reasons you may have for building a vegan lifestyle. But at the end of the day it is your calling that will drive you.



Have your reasons in place before you think of changing something in your life. Plan it in a way that adds value to your life in a sustainable manner and not something that is a temporary fix. A Lifestyle change is open-ended, with goals that continue to expand and grow. A good lifestyle is about challenging not just your food, but your overall mental and physical being, it will uplift you. It will not point you to a simple goal of 'losing weight' but being a healthy human; a broader goal.
